You Are Never Alone

I will never fail you. I will never abandon you. - Hebrews 13:5

I am with you always, even to the end of the age. - Matthew 28:20

Have you ever felt really alone? Maybe you are surrounded by people but you feel like no one knows the real you? Or perhaps you feel like no one genuinely cares about you. Feeling truly alone can not only leave you feeling lonely, but it can be a dark and isolating experience.

The good news is that no matter what your circumstances are—no matter what state your friendships or other relationships are in—you are never truly alone! The God who created you—the One who breathed life into you—is present with you this very moment and every moment of your life! And more than that, He knows absolutely everything about you—every thought, every dream, every action, every fear and even every hair on your head. Everything about you is known intimately and understood completely by your Creator. What’s more, He loves you profoundly, despite your humanness, your screw-ups and your failures. God loves you with a passion that is unconditional and unrelenting. He promises to never leave you and never forget you. He will always be present with you. It’s a promise pledged to you from the very Word of God. And God never breaks His Word.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS

Nearly everyone experiences times of loneliness at some point in their lives and it can be emotionally painful. If you know someone who’s lonely, consider reaching out with a phone call or offer to meet for coffee. If you find yourself feeling lonely, talk to God about it and remember He is with you 24/7. Also, don’t hesitate to reach out to others in your loneliness. God designed us to be in relationship with one another. It’s one of His ways of taking care of us.
